Liquid silicone is usually used in industry to de-sodium water glass to make silica sol by ion exchange method. It is a translucent milky white liquid with high stability. The silicone becomes a porous solid after drying.

B.Solid silicone molding is that the raw materials are solid pieces. 4.The difference of the storage time of liquid silicone and solid silicone

A. Liquid silicone can be divided into one-component liquid silicone and two-component (or multi-component) liquid silicone according to the components. One-component liquid silicone  will cure under certain conditions.

B.One-component liquid silicone will cure when exposed to moisture in the air, room temperature or high temperature. The higher the temperature, the faster the curing rate. As for two-component or multi-component silicone, the silicone adhesive and catalyst are stored in different components and generally do not cure.

C. Long-term storage of liquid silicone will lead to increased viscosity and poor operability.

D.The storage period of domestic liquid silicone is generally set to half a year, and the period of imported silicone is generally set to be one year from the factory to the time of use.

E.When the solid silicone is unopened and stored at room temperature, the shelf life of the product is 12 months from the date of birth. When storing, care should be taken not to store in a humid environment.
